Summer Bowls Season about to Commence

Whangamata has had a very successful year last season. We had 28 new members join, and our rollups on Thursday and Saturdays have all rinks full. Coaching on Mondays and Fridays always has members learning the next level or newbies wanting to try out and see if its a game for them. Our Competitive bowlers have also had a good year with several of them getting into the Junior, Development and Senior Thames Valley Representative Squads. Also we've had two teams representing

Three Days of Awesome Bowls, Friendships and Food

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 1-3 of December was our Bowling Club"s Three Day Classic. It was an amazing success, with bowlers from as far away as Auckland, Orewa, Hamilton and Waihi Beach. We had four wonderful Sponsors, First Mortgage Trust, New World Supermarket, Whangamata Club and Challenge Service Station. Thanks to the Lion Foundation

The Club is delighted to receive a generous grant of $4,500 from The Lion Foundation to assist with the cost of purchasing a new sprayer for our Grass Green. Our club’s green is widely recognised as among one of the best in the region and is a great source of pride for both our members and the wider bowling community.
