Summer Bowls Season about to Commence

Whangamata has had a very successful year last season. We had 28 new members join, and our rollups on Thursday and Saturdays have all rinks full. Coaching on Mondays and Fridays always has members learning the next level or newbies wanting to try out and see if its a game for them.

Our Competitive bowlers have also had a good year with several of them getting into the Junior, Development and Senior Thames Valley Representative Squads. Also we've had two teams representing Thames Valley Bowls in the National Champ of Champ competitions, while others have won Thames Valley titles.

There is a really good vibe at the Whangamata Outdoor Bowling Club, long may it last.

Our summer opening day had to be postponed due to the weather so it is now on 6th September.
