Opening Day 2023/24 Summer Season

On Saturday 2nd September we had out Opening Day. The Weather Gods were nice to us and we had a great day,playing for the Jim Morris Cup. All proceeds of entry fees and raffles were going to the Helicopter Fund today. We have some traditions that we follow on Opening Day and Saturday was no different.

Out President was away overseas so Peter Burgess our Vice President raised the flag.

Our Women's Club Captain could not be there so Wavenay Vaughan,one of our board members rolled the jack.

and our Patron Don Gardner rolled the first bowl.

Then it was on with the bowls. There were some fine tussles, and the cream came to the top with the winners being:

Viv Osborne, Tony Lucas and Alan Haggis. Congratulations
