Whangamata Strikes Again

On the weekend of the 11th and 12th of November 2023 the Men's and Women"s Open Junior Pairs were played at the Thames Bowling Club. There were 11 Men's teams and 7 Womens Teams.

Whangamata ended up with a Womens team , a Men's team and Whangamata composite Men's team all in the semi-finals.

However there was only one Whangamata team that made it through from the Semi-final beating a Kerepehi team 23/13 to go through to the final.

It was a very hot day and Alan Cotter and Steve Whitley were successful, bowling over a Waihi Beach team in the final, 18/17, to become the Thames Valley Men's Open Junior Champions.
